I was hoping someone could enlighten me on just how many limited edition knives in a given series are actually being produced. I realize that every model will have different amounts produced so I don't expect a specific number for every model, but some of the most popular ones would be helpful. Most of my other limited editions from everything from watches to knives all have a definitive end number along with your personal number. The smaller the batch the more "limited" it is and therefore (at least theoretically), the more valuable. I have not seen a Busse or Rat or Scrapyard knife that has this end number and so I don't know how limited any given knife really is. Don't get me wrong. I love the knives, I just want to know if the up-charge is justified over the regular model.
Thanks
I think of it more as an upcharge for the satin treatment of the blade than the numbering itself. Especially since some of the LEs are ordered without a number or logo at all (sterile).
My take on this was that it's not limited by numbers, but simply the length of time it is offered. By offering it for a limited amount of time, this should limit the amount sold in theory.
