How Limited are the Limited Editions?

I know Scharde had several numbered limited edition knives out there. I have seen where they listed the total number that were or would be made. On the limited editions that were in production at the time of the closing, will we ever know how many of that edition were actually made? For instance several months ago I bought the 4th Edition Texas Ranger knife. I would love to know how many were actually produced.

Any idea?

Great question and I hope to see an answer. I certainly can't help.. it would take a factory insider, and then probably a guess. UHFan?

The last days of Schrade seemed like quite a zoo-scene. Yep, valuable stuff--hardware-- sold, removed. But how about some real treasures to we collectors, like production records.. particularly those more recent ones (older information, like production numbers of past LTD issues are fairly easy to come by in several references).

I can see it now... Larry, LT and I, led by Debbie, making a daring nighttime commando style raid to find that certain file cabinet...

Hope to see more info on this. By the way... what pattern knife is this? The trapper?

It may turn up in a collectors book one day, you never know. I personally, with comemmoratives I usually try to buy ones that were issued in under 1500 pieces, or preferably less.

With Schrade gone now they are worth something, but to really reach a decent potential it will be many years from now?
