How long before a SH variation comes around again?

The title says it all. The FBM is OK, but it's really bigger than I like. I had a SHSH, and I thought it was about the perfect size, but it seems to have disappeared (I think it ran off with my ex-wife). Anyone have any idea where they are on the rotation?
