I have the Pro kit, and I think I've had it for 2 years. It may be a bit longer than that though. My hones are still going strong. I only use one side of the hones and they don't need lapping yet. I like the hones, as the coarse hones are quite coarse (read fast!) and the fine hone leaves a satiny looking edge that has a very nice micro-toothy type finish to it.
