How long does a CRK take to arrive?

So I ordered a Sebenza end of Oct directly from CRK. I paid for it last Tuesday morning. I was expecting/hoping it would arrive no later than today. $15 for shipping I did not expect it to take so long. The mail has already come and it was not delivered today. Hopefully arrives tomorrow but I was curious how long the average delivery time is for other members after they paid for knife? I am leaving Thursday and won't be back until Sunday. So if not delivered tomorrow then I won't get until Monday. While I can't do anything but complain I won't be happy ha. I am ready to play with it.

Also, another question.
Is there an advantage in buying direct from CRK? Meaning if I went to one of the sites that sell new CRK sebenzas for the same price and have free shipping and the knife is ready to ship right then any reason to order one from CRK direct and wait months/pay for shipping? Assuming I am not getting a customer graphic or something like that.

Call CRK and ask if it went out yet. They are very nice folks.

I just sent Heather an email but I was told it was going to go out last Tuesday. If shipping was included I would not care but I think for $15 it should have arrived within 6-7 shipping days. But maybe my expectations are too high because of Amazon so I wanted to see what average was for people.

Up to 15 days with ups. Just talked with her to day. Jake.

15 days!!!!! Ha I could drive to the shop and pick up and drive back ha.

So no one has answered my second question but it seems like I should have just ordered from an authorized store since I just got a plan small 21. Would of had back in Oct ha

Oh well. I have waited this long, I guess another week or so won't kill me

Yes you could have bought a plain 21 from a dealer. Much quicker.

Yes, order non specialized stuff from dealers. In stock and free shipping usually. Crk ships via ups, which is pretty slow.

The benefit of ordering directly from CRK if you aren't getting something custom is simply that more of your money ends up with the maker. Might be worth it for some. Dealers often have faster shipping though, it seems.

I don't know why, but lately my parts orders at work have been taking longer in shipping. Perhaps all the crazy weather is backing things up.

Well Heather from CRK emailed me back with a tracking number.
Zero fault on end of CRK. Knife should have arrived today, which is about what I expected.
However silly USPS has the package at their location here in my town. Arrived there this morning. And even though today was 73, sunny, and damn near perfect (!!) the post office didn't deliver because of adverse weather!!!
Literally perfect here in Columbia ha. So I'll call tomorrow and see if they plan to deliver or if I can pick up. Because I work 5 blocks, walking distance, from the post office it's being held at.

Thanks everyone for response!

I've both ordered from CRK and bought at a local dealer. When I wanted a plain knife, I got it locally and in my hand right away. When I wanted a sm. sebenza with insigno blade and micarta inserts, I ordered from CRK. Much better than hunting all over--and forever--for a dealer who had that knife.

Well worth it; it's now my edc?

So like I mentioned I bought it blind. I have never held a CRK knife, let alone a Sebenza. I first heard about them a couple years ago when i was in market for a EDC pocket folding knife (unfortunate incident involving drinking and a lake and swimming with my last one)
So after some research I decided the Sebenza 21 was what I wanted. And since I dress for work I wanted something that would fit comfortable in pocket so the small was it.
My knife that was misplaced at bottom of Lake Murray was a small Buck folding knife I got when I was 14-15 years old. I think blade was 1.25 inches? It was not this exact knife, and did not have Toyota or anything on it ha, but this looks like the one I had

Well I knew I wanted something bigger than that and something of high quality. I am not a collector of things, I prefer 1-2 high end and that I will use constantly. Give idea I own 3 BGEs and 2 Yetis. I am a quality not quantity guy.
So I have only had this for a few minutes but have already opened and closed like hundred times, uploaded pics to photobucket, and sent to jealous friends (and those friends who think I am a idiot for spending $350 for a knife)
I think I am going to love this knife. Fits my hands perfectly.
