How long does it take to get a BM42A?

Hi,

I stumbled across Clay's site a few days ago, (I was looking for a Sypderco Delica review, how's that for wandering...) and became really interested in balisongs..

So, I've ordered a jaguar from Knifezilla for practice, but have been unsuccessful in finding a place which has a BM42A...

Does anyone know how long the wait is, or where the best place to get it from is? Weeks, months?

Welcome to this forums. The wait for a 42A is only a matter of weeks. I believe www.1sks.com should be receiving some soon, as well www.northwestcutlery.com.

well...i have a bm42a on preorder @ 1SKS, and will probably get it Jan/Feb. he has about 450 preorders.

when i ordered my plain bm42 yesterday, Northwestcutlery.com had a bm42as in stock, but i'm going for plain edge.

you could do what i did and just email every knife dealer you can find and ask if they have one in stock. or if you have regular correspondance with anyone on the board you could ask them to keep an eye out and let you know. seems like word of mouth is still the best tool.

The A's are a little less available. BM does the anodizing themselves and they're really not set up to do it in great volumes.
