*How long does it take to get a custom strider folder?*

How long does it take to get a custom strider folder from the time you order to the time it arrives at your door step? I heard that they are in limited supply and it takes time to make one.
 
The wait time has been around 3 months. I ordered one at the end of February and that was the wait time I was given. It should be here any day I hope. I am getting ready to go to a swat school and I would like to take it with me. I also read a post approx. 1 month ago and I believe the wait time then was still around 90 days. I hope this helps.
 
I put my order in about a month ago, maybe a little longer. I just checked on my order and was told the end of July. I know they're getting hit pretty hard for that folder. If you are going to order, I wouldn't hesitate.
 
Even if you wait 90 days, that's not long. I've waited for over 8 months on some custom work from them. And, that's normal. So, for them to make a 90 day turn-around is phenominal. Get in quick, though, before more people find out about the best deal in edged tools right now or you might be waiting up to 8 months on this one too!

I ordered mine on Feb. 28. I was quoted 90 days also. While I really want this knife, I won't be upset if it goes a little over. I have yet to order a handmade knife and have it arrive when promised. Many custom makers give you a standard quote when they really have no idea when your knife will be done. I believe the Strider guys are giving a realistic estimate of when they think the knife will be done. I'm leaving for Urban Warfare school on the 30th so it would be nice if I could take the folder, but I would rather wait a couple of extra weeks and know it was done right if that's what it takes.

To sum it up, the people at Strider are going to make sure it is done right before they do it fast, and you will still get it pretty quick. That and the fact that their knives are priced right (especially if you are an enlisted person) are just a couple of the reasons that most folks that get one keep going back.
 
Hey, guys. Pardon the FNG question, but I just "noticed" Strider. When you say "custom", is that the typical knife you can find on the website, or something special ordered? I want that AR folder, and I don't mind the wait. I'm just curious.

What they mean by custom is modifications to any of the knives on the website, such as grooves for better grip. The 3 months is still the wait time for any of the standard knives off of the website, unless you are being deployed. Good luck
