get a custom 110 from the Buck Custom Shop? The website says 4-6 weeks. Is that what I should expect based on your experience?

That's about average; although I had one come back in as little as three weeks. I think it all depends on how many orders that they have backed up at any particular time.

Wish they offered 112s through the custom shop... I wouldn't mind waiting 6 weeks for that. :D

with all this talk, I'm ready to order another one! I have the Cherrywood and Indigo. May go for the Orangewood next.

I ordered my custom 110,sambar stag,rivets,nickle-silver bolsters, finger grooves with bg-42 steel on January sixth.Patience is truly a virtue....soon...soon it will be here!

Good question.....I got my last two custom shop 110's in about three weeks. They are soooo sweeet!!!! If I had to wait a year it would be worth the wait.

JB4570, It looks like you have what I am waiting for. KOA flame wood with fingergrooves and BG-42 steel. I opted for NS bolsters and, I ordered mine with serration. Why serration? Because I've never had a good user with serration. It will be a user. If I don't like the serration, it will give me an excuse to get another custom. Hey, it is Valentines day.

You will love it 2TONYB!!!!!! I got the brass frame because I think it looks better with the brown color of the KOA flame wood. But, we all have different taste;).

Let me ask a question that I may regret later.....
If we were able to get a custom knife to you in less than 2 weeks, would that somehow diminish its value to you?
Or asked another way, does it increase the value due to the fact that it does take so long to get one?
Just wondering....:)

In my opinion, delivery time is not a large component of value. But..... it is a very large factor in my eagerness to place the order. In other words, I would be more likely to place an online order knowing it would arrive in 2 weeks than I would if I knew the wait was going to be four or five or six weeks! That is my two cents.

LOL....Joe. All of us men are just big boys:rolleyes:....none of us can wait for anything:o!!! It's that way are whole lives:p.....ARE WE THERE YET:eek: The way I look at it any Buck knife is worth the wait...no matter how long it takes. Most custom shops have waiting list times in the 6mo-1yr or more min....Bucks 6 weeks is simply amazing!!!!!! I can't wait to get up there and see how you do it....IS IT JULY YET!!!!!!:D

Don't tell me that I'm the last one that has to wait six weeks. Just kidding. An even shorter wait would be nice though. Instant gratification can be good! How long do we have to wait to find out what this change is?

I suppose that if the quality and cost was not effected, a shorter wait time would be great. That said, from my standpoint, I would wait 6 months if I had to. :)
