How long has it been since the like button was removed from sale posts?
I know it’s been discussed and some sellers aren’t fond of getting an alert when trying to sell a knife and the alert is only for a like and not a potential sale.

I feel guilty because I was liking a lot of post. I hope I wasn't the reason we lost it because I was liking so many. I promise to only do it occasionally from now on.

After a little looking around there are for sale posts from this morning that have likes but the option is no longer there.

Shoot I didn't even notice till I read this post. I always laughed to myself when I seen the laugh emoji on the way over priced items. O well that took my fun away !

The latest like I saw in the knifemakers fixed section was just before 2:00PM today (website time). If it's not a temporary glitch I'm very disappointed since I can gauge how my wares are faring based on likes and view counts. Thanks Karen(s). I do believe laugh emojis should be disciplined but also some might be picked by accident.

John, check the last post in this thread. Per the rules, if you don't mind their doing so, members can comment in the threads posted by makers in the Exchange.

My thoughts as well.

Coleman, see my comments in the post above.

I think both the likes option, and the laughing icon are valid. :(

Spark removed them per request of the mods, as they were creating a bunch of reports and extra work.

Its only in Sales and Feedback.

It was removed as a result of us having to address incessant reports from members who were chapped about having inappropriate reactions / emojis posted in their sales threads.

This will go a long way toward reducing the amount of b.s. being reported, and subsequent time wasted on a daily basis.

Looks like it started sometime today. Makes sense to remove it.

If you "like" it, then buy it. Otherwise, just move on.

Hopefully it works out that way, but you may start getting loads of like coments inthe threads. We will see.

The ban hammer is always at my side and available at a moment's notice. ;)

Thread comments have always been frowned upon.

When I 1st joined, I made what I considered "innocent" thread comments in a few sales thread, which got reported and for which I quickly got head slapped for doing. So, I stopped doing it.
