how long is the wait on an Emerson custom??

Hello, I am considering to place an order with Mr. Emerson for a custom.The only thing is recently I have heard the wait is a lot longer because he is busy with the production knives and his busy schedule. So I want to know how long did u wait for yor Emersons'? Thanks for responding.

the wait is now over 5 years give or take. Not sure if its because of the production knives or just because his knives are so sought after.

Guys, Sorry to pour cold water on this thread but it has been beaten into the ground ad nauseum on a number of occasions. I would respectfully suggest using the search function to explore the archives. You will be rewrded with more responses than you will want or ever need. Bottom line...if you want an Emerson Custom you would be well advised to explore the secondary market. Don't like paying more? Just the basic laws of supply and demand amigo. Makes no sense to compare a secondary market price to a direct from the man price if the direct from the man price is not available. The prices on the secondary market are determined by what people are willing to pay for the product. Free markets work.
