I took the plunge and got a large plain Sebenza. As expected fit and finish are incredible. The action is a little stiff. I figured this is due to the super tight tolerances. How long does it take to break one in?

Hi Dennis,

Glad you got a Sebbie! I have found that after a week or two of opening/closing, if I disassemble, clean and relube the Sebenza...it is smooth as silk. After all the pivot parts break-in a little bit, I think it helps tremendously to go ahead and clean it well.

Enjoy your new tool!

Ditto.

After about two weeks of use, I broke my large down for a good cleaning and a bit of lube. Upon reassembly, the action was much smoother. My locking bar was a bit sticky at first and this also smoothed out after the breakdown/cleaning.
