How long to build a knife

With all the latest in knife building equipment,how many hours does it take for some of these major knife manufacturers to actually build one knife from start to finish?
An example might be one AFCK or Axis or maybe even a Case Copperlock.

That is not a real easy question to answer as most factories build different parts of the knife and out source other components. I am not sure anyone could answer it.

I have read articles in the past that stated that Buck, and Victroinox, could make over 50,000 knives per day.

I took a knife making course with John Freeman this summer ( john is out of Cambridge Ontario) and he claimed it took him less than 20 actual minutes of woking time to make each knife. Of course this did not count waiting time for epoxy to set. He has his knife blades heat treated by others.
