Suppose I were to sharpen it freehand on a stone ignoring the recurve, do you think it would take many sharpenings before the recurve becomes straight?

I kind of like the idea of a wharnie SS... Just a thought.

i was thinking the same thing... but have them do it at the shop. a straight edge would be like a packable nick; perfect for the backpacking gourmet!

Grindducci could do it for you in under 2 seconds!!!

OH NO NO NO Schueyhog.... Grindducci is a good man, he loves me long LONG TIME.

He has grinding power like no others before him. Grinducci can grind for hours, he BRINGS IT

I keep having this image of a mini SS with a grind from the upsweep on the spine to the tip ala Spyderco Ronin (shudder)

Better thought - wait for the full-size SS and grind it out. Then you'd REALLY have a NICK.

Hmmmmmmm. Oh Grinduuuuuuuuciiiiiiiiiiii.

i seem to always see porkducci on the front page of the National Porkquirer

.

Grinducci has a question, could one of you photoshop pros take the picture of the Sus Scrofa and at about 1.0" - 1.5" back from the tip, put a curve up in the tip so it would kind of look like the nightmare grind on a lot of folders? I ordered an extra one to maybe try this, I'm ahead of you guys already!

O.K., maybe something like this.............

So, what about something like the picture above?

I was thinking of getting one and having it ground flat for a camp chef knife as well. Only problem with that is that the blade would either even to or above your handle then I think and it wouldn't be all that useful for chopping. I think you would be constantly running your knuckles into the chopping block. Doh.

Then I was thinking you could have it custom reground into another shape but then the problem would be that the blade would be like 3 inches long with a monster handle.

I think I could finish the project in about 8 to 10 years.

Just ask Amy-0 to ship it directly to me. She's got my addy. :)
