Okay guys,

Just got in 400/800/3000 Naniwa Choseras. I know not to let them soak long, and can be used splash and go. I read on another forum that is says (in Japanese) on the box to soak for 20-30 minutes. How long do you guys let them soak, if at all?

Thanks

Just wanted to add, I have never gotten my Necker 2 as sharp as now with these stones! I mainly let them soak for 5 minutes or so, then went at it. I wasn't even really trying to polish but that 3000 stone really did it up!

DO NOT SOAK CHOSERA STONES!!!!!!

You run the risk of causing cracking.

Soaking them has zero beneifit.

What about that 5k chosera? It's seems too thirsty for splash and go compared to the others in the series

I have used every stone from the line, they will all splash-n-go. If it seems very dry then put it under running water for 30 seconds.

I usually spray the Chosera stones with water and let them set for a few minutes. As has been said soaking isn't needed.

Thanks for the info all. I kind of figured just splash n go, but I figured a few minutes soak wouldn't hurt. Using them again tonight, just splashing, and works great.
