Im curious too. Im sure we'll be able to get an estimate once they start arriving and people start posting the serial numbers (assuming the start with 0001). I just tracked mine and it says out for delivery...Woo tah!!!

Got mine today from BHQ - #111. I busted my self-imposed per knife limit by almost $200, and am glad I did. It's quite a beautiful knife, and the f&f is perfect. If anything it flips even better than my 0801 - and that's high praise indeed.

Just got 0116 and it really does have even more flip than my reg. 801. Can't pull the flipper soft enough for it to not open.

the flipping ability of these 0801cf models is all over the place. I've had 3 different 0801cf models and a brown wash. only 2 of them flipped decently... kinda stinks because I really wanted to love the brown wash, but the flipping action stinks on mine.

I have #226 from the last batch House Of Blade's had.

Did anyone get a confirmation of how many were made ?

It look's to be around 250.

You're probably right. Perhaps 750 of the 0801CF and 250 of the 0801BRWCF.

Oddly enough, I have 5 various 0801s and had a 6th go through my hands (present for son) and all 6 are beautiful flippers. Smooth, strong, and consistent flipping action. Sorry that your experience was different.
