Got my FBMLE last week and it was number 96. Does anybody know how many of this limited edition were made?

I saw some up near 300. So there's got to be at least that many.
We'll just have to wait and see how many Skunk gets at the store.

Because they accomodated requests for particular numbers, I don't think you can reliably look at knife #967 and say with any assurance that at least 967 LEs were made.

I ordered my LE late in the game and it was 225 so I bet Gunsite's 300 is probably as close as anyone could guess except for Jerry.

I ordered mine first week of jan or so and it was 233. About right considering my HOSJTLE is 260ish. I doubt too many more were ordered in the last week or so but you never know. Usually when a company lets you specify a number request its a number already in the run ie 509 prints you can specify anywhere from 1-509.

There seems to be little rhyme or reason to numbering. I ordered mine almost a month before this poster and got one 8 numbers higher. Mine was 238.

It seems the numbers are totally meaningless. Its not lost on me that this is obvious! Numbering of production items is NEVER more than marketing. But it is FUN! It makes for some humorous posts and interesting quests for holy grail. The collector mindset is one hell of a wild ride.

Drive on!!

I also ordered mine before that poster with #233 and mine was numbered #239....So I agree something is amiss, but don't really care either way.

Well also, you gotta think about, if someone order's a knife, then cancels the order down the road. The next guy to order will fill that void, therefore getting a lower number than the guy ordering right after him. Know what I mean?
