I'm just curios how many of you guys have visited the shop and taken a tour? I've got a dream to someday get to Boise myself and meet Chris and the crew that makes these knives what they are!

I have visited the shop, it was a great experience. The shop manager took me on a tour and showed me the entire production area. The shop is quite impressive and immaculate condition and the staff is quite helpful and will take time to answer your questions. Don't expect to be able to purchase a CRK knife off the shelf as they are continually working on back orders. However I did pick up some nice t-shirts.

Would be a great experience! Maybe we can put together a Bladeforums/CRK forum visit!? Something similar to the Hinderer get together Rick does every year. How cool would it be to have Chris sharpen your knife or something similar!? This is just my dream of course lol:)

I visit there a few times a year it seems. ;)

For me, it would be a dream come true to finally meet the man who I admire so much. I feel lucky enough to have been able to speak to him on the phone on 2 occasions. He also gave me an invite that if I am in the area to stop by and he would give me a tour of the shop. The past couple years I have been thinking about going on vacation to Boise to do just that. Lets hope I get there sooner rather than later. Now if I could just stop buying CRK and save $$$ for that trip.....LOL.

It would be cool for us to roll in there on motorbikes! Wouldn't he be shocked if 20+ bikes roll in!
Of course, my motorbike is a scooter, LOL.

Great scooter Lisa. I browse Adv often. There are some great ride reports. I'm more of an orange kool-aid rider ;). Love your crk collections btw.

I love to go. Just have to find something there for my wife to enjoy. Maybe we could make it a real road trip.

The closest I've gotten to a tour was the video with the Asian chick that didn't know enough to enough about knives to

be part of the vid. She was cute, but not hot IMO.

Glad to have seen this thread. I've been itching to get a sebenza for a bit now and when I found out that they were only about a days drive from me (Spokane), my dad and I decided to do a little road trip down there in a couple weeks and try to pick one up for my Birthday (Great Dad) Your saying there's no chance of me leaving with a Plain Jane 21?

Well the current waiting list for an order is somewhere around a year so I doubt they have any just sitting around. Could be wrong tho.

I stopped by a year and a half ago or so, and there were no folders available for purchase. We were able to pick up some fixed blades, but there were not many available, either. They work pretty much constantly on backorders, so it wouldn't be very fair to push those orders back for a guy that just walks in.

That said, the tour was most excellent. A must see if you are into CRK. (Call first though. They showed us around when we just stopped in, but I think they felt sorry for us after we rode motorcycles 1500 miles to get there. ;) )

I would love to visit the shop someday, but it is rather far away and my family probably wouldn't consider it a vacation hotspot lol

Thank you. It'd be fun to do a ride report that included the CRK shop.
Maybe we could make it a real road trip.

Wowza, that'd blow me right off the road. :D Nice ride!

Does visiting the original "shop" in Durban count?:o
Yep...lucky you!

I'd buy a scooter for that.
There's a Detroit/Windsor "bike" club that I see every now and then.
About 40 of them rolled up on their old beat up Spree's that are straight outta Mad Max, along with a bunch of Vespa's in a rainbow of colors while I was at the pub some years back. It's a nice mix of hard looking individuals and Hipsters that provides top notch people watching entertainment.
