Replacing the factory washers with bronze. The upgrade washers make this little might very smooth and easier to open. Stippling the thumb stud also makes it much easier to open and the rest of the stippling makes for a nonslip grip even when wet. This subclaw only weighs 2.2 ounces including the lanyard and minus the clip.:D

nice job cu2, thanks for the pics....
yeah, the coin pocket in jeans is a great parking lot for the Subclaw/Subcom folders

Aloha cu2,

NICE! I carry a SFV in my jeans watch pocket every now and then...and even one of my BDU shorts has the same pocket, so in it goes. I just gotta remember it's there when I am carrying more than one blade!:o

God bless and thanks for sharing!

I'm using a hand piece with a number six bur. These scales are very thin. YOU only want to bur halfway deep or to the height of contour. One can make a very even pattern or mix it up. There's no set rules. Just don't go too deep!
Find something to practice on first is the way to go. Good luck have fun.;)

I carry my Subcom in the small front jeans pocket sometimes, but I rarely wear jeans. At work, my work pants luckily have hidden pockets where the biscuit fits in perfectly and out of sight ("weapons" aren't allowed at my work, tho I don't consider what I carry weapons, but they do).

Would those bronze washers also work for the Boker trance?

what tool do I need to remove the small screws?

I tried to wear my SC in my front small pocket once. It was very unhandy every time I tried to draw my main EDC which I carry in my front pocket. Before I got the Fred Perrin Quattro I carried it as a money clip next to the coins, but now I put it in the fifth pocket.
