How many kinves do you own?

I haven't been able to find an existing thread on this. I'm basically curious how far the insanity goes, and wondering what the average number might be. I currently own six, which I assume(know) is pretty paltry in comparison to some of you OCD types. I suggest that the 'winner' relinquish his collection(to me) and seek professional help post haste.:)
 
I have been collecting over 35 years now and I have often bought knives wholesale by the dozen to share with me and my friends at cost. That all being said I have often times kept the bulk of the dozen, if not the entire dozen ( stag, horn, bone...each one is different and unique), so I have about 1,000 knives ( from $1 cheapos to $500 ones) .....I just have a hard time getting rid of one of a kind items........
 
I used to own about 157 knives at one time and then I started selling them all off to finance my knifemaking. Now I own about 6 knives.
 
two left and one of them is for sale
I do not know if i miss the days of 150 plus knives.
Okay who am i kidding i do
 
Oh I dunno,

maybe 300-400.

They're not all pretty, though. :D

Well, I have been a knife carrier/ collector for 32 years. With that said, I used to have well over 200, but have sold off or traded them. I now about 30ish, give or take a few. I wanted to focus on customs. Then I got my into Spyderco's............
 
I own about 15. I have been a knife fan for about 15 years. Before 2006, I owned about 5 knives. In 2006, my financial situation improved so I started buying knives every single month. I bought about ten this year and plan to buy atleast one a month. This is a serious addiction.
 
Haven't counted in a while, but I'm guessing around 100+ folders and 25'ish fixed blades. I use them for while, then on to the next one - I have my "regulars" and try to replace them - if they don't work out, it's on to the next one. They don't really become shelf queens, just don't get used as often:) Generally try for 1 per month as a minimum.

I really don't know how many, 200 maybe more.:confused: More importantly, perhaps is how many do I use regularly.:jerkit: Hmm lets see, ah I guess including regular carry knives, the one in the kitchen and others. Lets see umm that's about 9 that are being used regularly.:cool:
 
I am constantly buying/selling/trading so the number is fluid. Right now I think I have around 30 or so.
 
I used to sell at gun shows for a hobby. I still have backstock of about 1500 knives but only about 100 of them I would consider good quality.

In my personal collection, I have about 100.
 
I caught the bug in 2003. At one point I had 120 knifes.... mostly spydies, crkt and customs. Started selling/giving to friends/coworkers. I have about 35 now
 
Somewhere around 30...That's enough for now, but at one time I owned over 100...:eek:.
 
7 and NOT counting. A couple of Bucks and Kershaws, and a few Camillus. I may spring for one of the Kershaw/Onion ZTs, depending upon what they end up retailing at.

j/k, I currently own about 300 knives, which is down considerably from what I used to own. Damn, why did I sell some of those knives?!? :eek:
