So I was over at the Buck factory on a road trip a couple of weeks ago and noticed a couple in the case that are not on the website. If you use the search function you can see the 301 and 303 but they are not listed in the everyday carry tab. How many others are produced that are not easily found unless you know the model number?

I'll throw my question here too: are there and knives similar to the Canoe/Toothpick/Trapper that are Made in the USA? I don't have this kind of traditional knife and would like to get one.

My days of collector self taught detailed catalog and store knowledge are over. Here is my answer to both above questions as best I can.

The factory store and other special outlets will have knives not shown in the catalogs. Anyone with enough $$ can order a production knife all fancied up to their desires. If I were to win lottery, I would have made: 303 in carbon steel with jigged real bone scales in brown and a shield that says 300Bucks. Maybe some etching of elk on the clip blade. Don't know what numbers you have to order to get special orders but it use to be 300 each. Companies such as Smokey Mountain Knife Works has done special orders as has SK Knives and Copper and Clad. Businesses like to ink print their logo or name on a blade and give them to salesmen and customers. This is a whole venue of collecting old imprints. Some factory store specials are test models, custom shop knives and sometimes just a handful of someone's idea knives. I have a couple of this category.

Sadly, big knives rule, as do clip versions. Folding pocket knives may become a thing of the past as sales decline. No American made versions of those you mentioned are made. You will have to tolerate the overseas versions (I have several)....Unless, you go look and buy older U.S. versions from the past. You can still find them at pawn shops, flea markets and web sales. 300

The 389 Canoe by Buck is a fantastic knife. (So nice I bought 3, and gifted two)
It may be made offshore, but it still has the same FOREVER warranty as the Idaho produced knives do.
I don't remember the model number of my large Buck Trapper (SFO for SMKW a couple years back, I don't remember which pro fisherman's signature is etched on the blade, either) the trapper is in Florida, I'm in Idaho, so I can't look at it right now.
It is also an excellent knife.
Regardless of if the Buck knife is made in Idaho or offshore, it is still a Buck. The offshore knives are built to Buck's specifications and quality standard.
Either way, made in Idaho or offshore, you are still supporting Buck when you buy it or them. :)

I think part of this is that Buck's website is terrible. For instance, you can't find the 183 Crosslock under any of the knife categories on the website. But, lo and behold, a Google search turns up a Buck web page for it.

I've seen the prices flux on these so many times. 90% off sometimes.
I looked at those 3 today when I picked up a couple of blowout 286’s. I wouldn’t touch them. Chinese made and super expensive for what they are.

Maybe if they go on super duper blowout I would reconsider, but I have been stocking up on cheap 286/110LT/102/103/119/55/392/546’s.... American made, less expensive and all better knives IMO.

I found a Cherrywood 117 on eBay, and snapped it up. It's a knife that has never been available. Somebody who lived close to the store bought it and auctioned it off. How many were made? Who knows? That's why I changed my signature line to reflect the Cherrywood bucks I'm missing.

Misread.

I bought my Bones and Nobleman when they were on sale at C.T. - the price was just too good to pass up. I've since become more discriminating but watch the sales for the American-made models here. The 102 was only $30 a couple weeks ago and I'm kicking myself for not getting it! I even looked at it in the case for a while when I bought a 110 LT, but I figured I didn't need it and it would just be an impulse buy. Oh well.

If you're a BCCI member I believe they have a Buck 2018 catalog you can download, then you can see for your self...
