the other day i was driving down the road with my fiance, and she almost cried and said something was wrong with her!!!...i asked what was wrong and she said that she was carrying four knives!!!!...i said of course she was perfectly fine!!!!...and completely normal!!!!....i asked her what knives she was carrying and she said her purple swiss classic with pen, her classic with the toothpick, her frost hawk, and her coast flashlight knife!!!!!.....hehehehehe!!!!..it seems ive rubbed off on her!!!...how many knives does your, wife/fiance/girlfriend carry????..and what are they????

Just one, that took a few months to convince her to do. Now she carries it on a daily basis. At first she just put it in her purse so she had to fish it out. Of course it came out covered in lint, so since then I got her a sheath for it since speed retaining the knife is not important to her. Wish I could get her to carry it in a more accessible position. Baby steps, baby steps. We get married this month after five years together. Slowly but surely I'll make her a knife nut.

After my gf saw the limitless uses for my SAK during our first camping trip, she insisted we get her a SAK "NOW!" She ended up with an exec and a tinker. Then after this weekend's excursion through the Finger Lakes Trail, she insisted on a Spyderco Delica "NOW!" and took mine. She has three knives now. I won't let her see any more, I can't afford to keep replacing them. Now, she's eyeing my photon microlight and Fisher space pen. Here we go again.

hmmmm..could get expensive!..but look at it this way. My ex-wife HATED my knives, said i loved them more than her..mmmmmm..she was right (in that case!). so be happy you have a knifenutt solu mate!!! :0) !!!!

Does leaving her Buck Tool in her backpack, where she can never find it, count?

My better half carries a little Spyderco Ladybug and a Leatherman Micra. She used to carry one of those small Cold Steel push daggers until one of her students, yes she is a teacher, identified it. It was very useful for cutting items to go on her bulletin board as well as being somewhat of a defensive item.

Got my wife hooked when she saw the commercial at the end of the Spyderco sharpmaker video. You know, the one where the woman works at a floral shop and uses her Cricket to trim some flowers? Well, she saw that and said "That's a cute little knife, I think I like it."

Well, thats all it took for me! I immediately ordered her one and she's kept it with her ever since. She's on her way to converting other non-knife people because she uses it at her work-place all of the time. She has also had an experience that we (here on the forums) can relate to as well. We stopped by A.G. Russel here a few weeks back and I picked up the new Gerber AR3 for myself. (very nice knife by the way-very well made) However, the knife just didn't feel right for my hand. When I mentioned this to my wife she said "Let me see it." I did and she fell in love with that one as well. She now carries both it AND the Cricket everywhere. The experience I mentioned above was: She was at work and pulled out the AR3 to cut something (hey, she likes the cricket more, but this was the obligatory new-knife-gotta-play-with-it-break-in-period

) and one of the guys who sits by her said "Whoa! What do you need such a huge knife for?!?" (give me a break! its got a 3" blade and is smaller overall than my Delica!) She very coolly responded with "If you think this is big, you should see some of the knives in my husbands collection (ie: Civilian!)"

I just love my wife!!!!

Since my wife started working in a job where its handy to have one, she carries a Leatherman Wave in a piggyback sheath along with a Streamlight Scorpion. Before that, a Leatherman Micra (forever lost in her purse, of course) She also has a Puma folder, and a few assorted others.

My girlfriend carries one knife on her all the time. It's a Gigand Fred Carter black Spectrum. I gave it to her when we first started dating so she would stop putting her finger prints all over my knives. She now wants more though. I think I'll get her a Chris Reeve UMFAAN for her birthday, or someting like that. She proved to me that she can treat her knife with respect. Except for the other day when I was sitting next to her on the couch and she started wrist flicking the knife open. I asked how she learned to do that. She said from watching me. I guess I'm rubbing off on her. Although I did have to explain not to do that in public. And, that can hurt her knife in the long run.

My wife carries a "small" plain-edged CRKT Point-Guard that I gave her as a "present" for letting me buy MORE knives.

Thats the way to go glockman!!!....hehehehehehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!...nothing like a little encouragement!!!!

Just a small CRKT urban shark in a cheapo nylon sheath in her handbag. She's been looking over my other knives funny, though. I just got a BM850 from Mike Payne today that I think she will like (and hopefully forget about my favourite knives...)

Hope to get my TOPS WolfPac soon but i`m not sure wheather to show HER ?? ;-)

My wife used to think I was a bit freakish for carrying a couple of knives with me just about everywhere. Now that she carries a Spyderco Centofante on a daily basis I'm just a freak in her eyes.
