How many neck knife a folder?

I've been thinking about getting a neck knife sheath and a leek just to mix it up a little...I'm not very comfortable using my STIFF KISS in public as a neck knife, just for being a fixed blade.

So any of you folks try this? How well does it work?

I have a Spyderco Delica ( I dunno what version; as it has AUS-8 and has the plastic clip), that has a kydex neck sheath. I don't carry it, but it works. I recently found this in the house. I got it at a gun show somewhere. It seems like an EXCELLENT system. Perhaps you can find something like it or have something made. And DUH on my part; I have my Atwood Solar Arc in a Kydex neck sheath. It doesn't have a clip. I wanted to have it on me when I am in scrubs. Mr. Atwood was kind and gracious enough to mame me a neck rig!! This will be with me all the time whilst I am at work. It will be my only knife too. It is a great set up!!

I haven't yet but want to. I'll probably go with a delica 4 pe. Looks like a nice alternative to a fixed blade with the benefit of not offending the sheeple. Plust if found by the boys in blue might be considered less offensive. A leek would be awsome due to its slim profile and light weight. go for it and send in lots of pictures. good luck ahgar

You can probably get a kydex neck sheath for almost any folder from On scene/Tactical.

I think any of the slim FRN Spydies would make excelent neck folders.

It works reasonably well, although it makes for a pretty slow draw, of course.

If you have a folder you'd you like to get a Kydex neck sheath for - make it yourself. It's by far the easiest type of sheath to make.

Here's the (very crude, I'm a sheath-making novice) neck sheath I made for my Mini-Pika:

It holds the knife securely in place.

Around the neck is my favorite carry, I have neck pouches for everything from SAK's and Cattle King stockmen up to BUck 110's.

Sure, I might make one for my mini mojo...where do you get the materials?

The thing that attracted me about the leek's sheath was that it was 6 dollars. Most of the sheaths I see for sale on on scene tactical are 30+ (which is fine, I just don't have that much money to buy the nice sheath and a new knife).

Artfully Martial: Where did you find that kydex sheath for your leek?

That one is from NGK. They also have a similar one for the Chive (which is probably a better neck knife choice...I just can't bring myself to use a 420 blade).

Here's a link to it

I REALLY want to buy a random leek to go with a sheath, but I just can't bring myself to spend 3x is much for S30V and a blade profile I way prefer.

I have a Spyderco Ti-Police that I have carried every now and then in its neck sheath. The heavier knives don't bounce around as much as the little ones.

I carry a Endura and SS Police model in neck sheaths. The Endura carries up side down and the Police carries straight up.I also carry a CS X2 Voyager in neck/belt sheath somtimes. It's huge and it does print under the my shirt. Not very sly, but fun to wear around the house.
