Which KaBar? As a company they make a bunch of models. I have one KaBar brand, Model 1220, the standard fighting/utility with the word "ARMY" stamped on the blade and sheath. The General would have spanked me if one of his Colonels carried a knife stamped USMC!

Or are you referring to any fighting/utility made by any of the current and former makers (Camillus, KaBar, Ontario, PAL, Robeson, Utica, Conetta, etc? I also have a Camillus model I carried for about 10 of my 23 years of Army experience. When the hilt (guard) loosened up a little through use, I just super-glued it back to tight!

I mostly relegated the fighting/utility knives to "back up" to the Randall, Chris Reeve, or Ray Ennis "Entrek" knives I usually carried.

I've got a couple of them...they're very reliable, well built and at a good price!!!

i have the big USMC knife despite an army heritage, got a great deal... and a mini tdi
both great knives at great prices that im not afraid to use BECAUSE they weren't very expensive but still seem tough

I have a couple of Ka-Bar knives too. One is an older "Executive" pocketknife that's built very poorly. The other is a Ka-Bar Dozier lockback, which is an OK knife for the money.

Don't have any but I've been eyeballing the Large Heavy Bowie for a few weeks now. THe price isn't keeping me from getting it, It just doesnt excite me enough to snag one. Sooner or later I'll snag one.
