How many SpyderCo's do you have?

I was looking at that auction for the 91 SpyderCo collection the other day and was wondering how many you guys had?

I've loved SpyderCo for many years now but I only have an old style Endura and a new Delica.

More importantly, how the hell do you decide which to carry when you have a whole bunch? Do you wake up in the morning and say "hmmm... I think I'll be doing lots of cutting today I'll clip on my..." or do you have different Spydies in different locations i.e. car, house, etc?

I think I'll be getting more Spydies in the future but I can't walk around with all of them! ... Or can I ...

I understand your dilemma: makes me wonder how women choose what shoes to wear out of the three dozen almost identical pairs...

I have only two spydies to my name, so at this point it is not terribly difficult to decide which to carry. (Both) At this point I carry my Delica lefthanded, and my Native righthanded. I use the Delica the most, even though I'm a righty. That way, if I'm ever attacked, I can recreate the scene from Princess Bride: "But there's something you don't know. I'm not left handed!!!"

Seems like a good excuse to see what I've got left after the great selloff...rustle...rustle...WOW! Down from 40 a month or 2 ago to 8!

Here's the growing collection. As you can see, I tend to like the folders around 3". It's a practical size, and I enjoy switching them out and carrying different knives. Probably my three most common carries, however, are the Wegner Jr., the Native, and a Benchmade 720. Just got a Jot Sing Khalsa the other day, so that makes ten in under 6 months. Stop the insanity!

My daily carry is pretty much the same, although I do change off. And yes, I do have at least one in a special place. Remote Release in the truck. Never know.

I just counted and I have exactly 80. I am too lazy to list all of then but my most numerous models are Delicas and Natives. I have six Delicas: 2 98s (plain & combo); 2 AUS 8s (plain & combo); 1 G-2 (serrated); and 1 Delica II. My Natives are: 2 plain GIN-1, 1 Serrated GIN-1; 1 Native II in combo, 1 Blue native serrated; 1 440V Native serrated, 1 440V Native plain. I also have 2 Calypso (plain & serrated), 1 plain AUS 8 Calypso jr.; 2 plain Calypso jr. Lightweights.

I have a REALLY NICE Native II Stainless (with the 40% serrated AUS-10 blade) that I'm looking to trade for a Zytel Native (with the 440V blade-steel)...

I have one Police model, retired, that served me well for a couple of years.

Currently I have a plain, 440V Military, new style Moran, and two '98 Delica's (serrated and plain). I carry and use them regularly, which is the main reason I probably won't be getting a large collection of spydie's, they are too durable

. Although, that new 440V Native would nice to have...

Wow! and I thought I was nuts for Spyderco's! There is hop for me yet. I am up to 9 myself....mostly custom collabriations with several more on the wish list.

I have several old knife display cabinets and I just grab which ever one strikes my fancy that day on the way out of the house. The only ones I actually cut anything other than paper with is the Wegner (large PS.

Knife Nut

I have a Aluminum Cricket and a Jot Sing Khalsa plain. i mostly carry the cricket on the weekends and to church on sundays.I am probably going to send the khalsa knife into be repaired the liner lock does not always engage so i have put it into my storage box. Hate to say it but my carry knife for the work week is not a spydie. YIKES

Sure have some catching up to do.
