How many times do draw your knife per day?

Tittle says it all...

for me it can range from 2-20, but I always make sure I draw at least once, just to justify having an EDC.

This depends on the day and also on the knife. Some knives just ask for taking them out of your pocket; my Sebenza usually gets opened a few times just to hear it lock and I have a small Damascus fixed blade that I take out a couple of times just to look at the pattern. But most of the time my knives get drawn because I need them for cutting; often this is a couple of times a day (1-4).
 
I probably flick my mini griptilian open and closed 200-300 times a day since I got it a week ago. I'm concerned I will wear it out...
 
More times than I can count on all nine fingers;). I'm sure the newness of my new Benchmades will wear off sometime, but until then, they get played with a whole lot more than they get used.

Depends on:

1.What the USPS, or Fedex, or UPS man brings.

2.What I'm doing to a car, truck, pressure washer that day.

3.What knife I have on me.

Today I opened a box, stripped a bunch of wire putting some more lights on my truck, and cleaned my fingernails.

A SAK Tinker was responsible for the first two, a Classic for the nails!
 
As many times as I can get away with, always looking for those "knife opportunity’s"!
 
Man I never really thought about it but probably 10 to 15 times a day. I sell RV's and it seems like I am constantly using my Queen for
something and if you throw in how many times I use my Leatherman.....
well you could pump that # up to 30 times a day. One thing for sure I would be in bad shape with them.
 
A Min. of 30-40 times a day I max out at around 70 times a day. You must remember I work from home and spend the whole day playing with knives:D
 
At this time of year, probably no more than 2 or 3 times a day--and generally in the kitchen.:( However, when the weather breaks and things warm up, it's back to camping/backpacking/fishing etc.--a whole different ball game.:cool:
 
A few times a day I open up a knife to hear it lock, and few occasinal cutting tasks. When fishing, and hiking season comes around it'll be alot more.
 
neck knife 100-200(im a shipper and cut open lots of boxes)

Folder 20-50, i use it to cut down boxes as its 1.5" longer than my neck knife
 
As I have just received my new Spyderco Native (S30V blade) the number has rapidly gone up today. I'm upto at least 50 times but I am calming down some. :D
 
Today, at least a dozen or more for the big lockback and about 8-10 times for my slipjiont. But then today was a workday, on my days off about 5 times each.
 
I carry enough EDC's that throughout the day the amount of times I open an EDC can vary, keep in mind I usually have at least 7-10 knives on me at one time. Somewhere between 1 and 100,(being a mechanic I have lots of excuses to open a knife).
 
I open my Benchmade probably about a dozen times at least each day. If I'd keep count, I'm sure some days would double or triple. Working in a warehouse, I use it for all sorts of things. I use a razor knife for cutting cardboard, but my BM for all sorts of other things.
 
I use my Leatherman EVERYDAY and carry it along with a small slip. The slipblade has polished antler slabs I put on the knife.Know what? The antler just keeps on polishing even though I carry it in the same pocket as my Leatherman.Dang white antler tip stuff is so hard,doesn't scratch at all.I pinned and Accuglassed it.Best and only expoxy I use,comes from Brownell's.
 
The question is...

How many licks DOES it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop???

If it were possible I'd have worn out my sm.sebenza...

how many open/closings DOES it take to wear out a sebenza???
