How many times per day do you use your EDC folder?

For me, I'd say around 6 to 7, usually opening mail/packages, cutting fruit, etc.

For most of the week about 6-8 times a day but Wed,Thrus, and Friday (my work days) about 10-14 times minimum

At least a dozen or more per day for the folder (Endura), 2-3 times per week for the FB (Battle Rat). I cut alot of stuff.

Week days daytime, probaby in the region of 4-5 times

Weekends, couldn't tell you. A dozen times? Sounds about right

My girlfriend however uses her Spydie Cricket all the time, sometimes I feel it's the wrong way round ;)

A half dozen times a day average is a conservative estimate. Probably higher. And this isn't 6 cuts a day -- this is the knife is out on 6 different occassions that may involve multiple cuts.

Makes me wonder how non-knife folks get along -- I guess they struggle and chew through a lot of material. ;)

Depends a lot on the situation. When I'm working maybe half a dozen times, then it's usually a really small knife like the U2 (most sheeple friendly knife I've got) or the UK Penknife. I rarely use the Victorinox anymore, often just carry it because I have always carried a Victorinox since I was 14.

When I'm out and about I use my knife a lot more often. In fact, I'm seriously thinking about getting a decent fixed because I can't be bothered to get the folder out all the time.

During the weekday, usually several times (3-6) per day - anything from food prep, to opening/cutting "stuff" - mostly light work. There are days, though, when I don't cut a thing  Evenings and weekends - it depends on what I'm doing - this weekend, I was doing some leatherwork (rained all weekend!!!), so I was using my EDC blades for trimming leather and cutting stitching thread as well has some household things, probably around 30 or 40 times. Other weekends, if I'm doing yardwork, probably a dozen times or so. Other times it at least 3 or 4 times an evening - usually cutting open food prep packaging/other packaging, clipping out newpapers articles, etc. My wife is even starting to use one of my smaller fixed blades to cut the odd thing instead of one of the kitchen knives :D

Depends on the day. On a shutdown at work, maybe several dozen times. On a day like today, having loafed around, done a little shopping, and gone to see a movie...so far zero.
I'll get to cut off a couple of tags and some plastic wrap shortly-yippee

WAIT! I used the scissors on my Victorinox Classic to cut out a coupon(laugh not, it was a $15 coupon). That's part of my EDC so I guess it counts.

Actually using it, 3-4 times.

Flipping it open and closed, I don't know maybe 30-40 times daily.

Generally I use my Leak 3-4 times a day, at least, mostly for routine things like opening letters or cleaning fingernails. I moved last week, so I've been using it a lot lately.

The more a person carries a knife, the more he uses it since he realizes how many things a good knife does better than anything else, and he wonders how he ever got along without carrying one.

I'm a technician, so I deal with all kinds of tech issues, boxes of parts, etc, etc. So I'd put a real conservative estimate at 20+ a day, more on busy days.
Today(installing11 machines for a trade show), probably 100+.
And nobody's mentioned it, but I know ya'll take em out just to play when your sitting around waiting on something, I'm curious how often that is for most folks. Kamagong gave it up, how about the rest of you?

Once or twice, usually. Right now I'm shredding up some of my old pay stubs... Damn them identity theives! paper kills the edge. :(

right now, im not doing much, so not much, at least once a day. Usually have to do some sort of packaging etc. For me, a knife does not allow me to do a whole lot of new things, it just makes a whole lot of old things easier. For example, opening mail, or boxes. All of that is much easier with a sharp knife on you.
