How many would like to see more 1/8" thick INFI, 4" to 7" blade?

I understand that thick steel knives do serve a place, but More and more I find myself looking for knives in the .125" thick range. I know that a Busse in that thickness is not unheard of, I just think it would be nice to have more of a selection.

A Badger, SFNO, or ASH1 would be pretty nice in that thickness.

I'd love a basic 7 in 1/4." With a choil, clip point. Res C handle in the regulator design. Satin INFI or Parked SR101. SR101 or INFI, doesn't matter to me.

You mean an 1/8", right?

Busse Kephart . Slicing tomatoes and Makin' Bacon.

No choil por favor.

I can't believe you said that. That's awesome. I'm placing an order for an 1/8" thick Kephart tomorrow. Still trying to decide what handle material.

I would absolutely love this! I've wanted a rodent solution in 1/8 for years!!! I love my SOB but if I could get it in .14 - I'd be in hog heaven!

There is a reason Jerry once called me resTHINguy.

Although a little short per your criteria, the Boney Active Duty is otherwise great. Even better, it was hardened to Rc 60 -62. But you probably know that.

You may recall member lastvisiblecanary. He was a huge fan of thin and choilless. He waited forever on a Custom Shop 1/8" no-choil BOSS Jack. The shame of it all was that in under a year, he was forced to sell it. I would have snapped it up, but could not afford it at that time. Haven't seen it since.

The CABS may be the longest thin INFI other than that one Custom. I let go a Basic 5 because it was too thick for it's size.

We 100% need more thinfi.

SCABS is approx. 1/8" thick and a 4 1/4" blade...

Absolutely! Something in the .125 to .187 range, depending on all the other variables, would be wonderful.

Aren't Anorexic Boss Streets ~.15"?
If that counts as thin enough Pork Shanks are ~.15" as well. Leaner Meaners too I think.

Sounds right. Mine is stripped and is a bit above .125 but I don't have calipers. .15 is a good thickness though !

Would love to see thinner blades for slicing and cutting things. Pointier too sometimes would be cool! But lifetime warranty = thicker beefier blades more often then not.

Your best bet now is to get a choilless BOSS Jack and send it off to a modder for thinning. Of course, you must recognize at that point that you own your own warranty.

Ya I probably wouldn't go that far with it. I still might spring for a choilless though. But if Jerry wants to get on an anorexic kick for awhile, that'd be cool.

I have seriously thought about looking into something like that. I'm wondering how the heat treatment would be handled.

I would prefer it just come from the factory though.

I would be all over a .125" ASH1 with a Flat Saber grind, or a Convex grind.

If we're really going for ThINFI --- I'd make the ASH-1 .125 FFG with RC 62-64
