How Many?

Well I just got cussed out.....rofl my girlfriend is having a visit;)
She asked me how many knives and guns I thought I needed on my desk. So I counted 1 DC Assault shaker, 4 Skeleton Keys, 1 Uncle Mofo CG, 1 BA-E, 4 Game Wardens, 1 SJ Variant, 1 St56 proto "small version", 1 police recruit, 1 Active Duty Variant, Microtech UTX70, Microtech Scarab, 1 Spyderco Bob Lum, and one custom folder "Can't remember who made it. Almost forgot the Springfield Operator 1911 and the Glock 19 in a holster on the underside of the desk.

When I actually rattled off everything I could see... she stormed off and went to bed..... She thinks I forgot her birthday in a few days... :D
 
Besides the typical 'puter stuff, there is 2 Slabs 'O Bacon, 3 pieces of Cheese, 1 Vicy Ranger, 1 HK PSP 'n box, 1 G19 'n 2-31rders, an odd assortment of 9mm ammo, 4 SureFires, a few SF lamps/bezels, 1 Streamlight PP 4AA, 1 Underwater Kinetics SL4, CR123a/AA batteries, 1 .5 watt LED, 2 modded MagLites, a CMG Ultra, car keys, some pens, a Seiko Dive watch, 2 remotes, a dish of cat food, cat fur, one sleeping cat, some knife 'n car magazines, and three empty 3 beer cans are laying on my desk. An AK-47 is leaning against the wall behind me.

And I think that I still have 'nuff room for even more stuff on here... :D
 
It has always puzzled me why women always ask "how many of those do you need?" when it comes to knives, guns, flashlights, watches, etc. I mean like 10, 20, 30, might not be enough.

A man can never have too many of these things - it's a guy thing. Believe me, after a while she'll get over it. My wife always used to get aggravated when I bought a new toy, but after twenty years she has learned to accept it.

Right now I've got 5 Infi knives (one on the way) and I'm not sure when enough is enough. Blame it on online shopping and the computer. :o
 
What blows my mind is the same woman who bitches you out for having so many knives and guns, is the same one who's closet is so full of shoes and purses the doors can barely close!

Everybody has to have something they're passionate about. People just need to accept that what flips one person's switch, may not flip anothers!

I think it would be a GREAT idea to take one of the knives you already have (one of the less expensive ones or one she won't like) and wrap it up and then give that to her as her birthday present, but only as a joke. When she opens it, tell her that you've known all along that she likes knives (since she talks to you about them so much and she stormed out of the room obviously because she wanted her own knife) and you hope that she really likes what you picked out for her as you spent a lot of time and money finding the one that would be just right. Now of course, she will be pissed, but with a smile on your face and a little laughing, then you pull out her real birthday gift and give it to her. Believe me, she will be so relieved that she did not get a knife, she will probably NEVER bother you again about them.:thumbup:

Uh oh, I may be in trouble if I try to use that argument. A quick scan of her closet reveals that I have at least twice as many knives and guns as she has purses and shoes.:o She hasn't complained yet, though.:)
 
jay, you can send me that proto st-56 and that springfield opeartor to free up some room. i wouldn't want your girlfriend to be pissed off at you or anything. ;)

My knife and gun collection is not close to my wife's shoe collection. Sometimes I think I live with a Philipino with the number of shoes here. LMMFAO.

ThIS HAS BACKFIRED!!!! My g/f LOVES benchmades and INFI now. I gave her an apparition for her b-day to test the waters and POOF benchmade fan. I bought a SW bog dog for her and POOF she loves SR and BUSSE. She thinks SHE'S getting the ramhorn extravaganza GW:rolleyes:.......she's getting a brown micarta GW and thats FINAL.
