The presence of your question here probably raised the auction price by about 30%. :p Seriously, you'd do better to ask such questions via email. A certain SJ skyrocketed recently because of a mention here on the forums.

Busses hold their value well, and the CG FBMs are not available anymore. So I wouldn't be surprised to pay retail or more on a CG FBM even if it's used. I happen to think that the CG FBMs are going to bring a premium in the not-too-distant future. They outshine the Ergos in terms of usage as choppers, and they have the Battle Mistress cachet about them.

You can check the original prices here: http://www.bussecollector.com/gpage.html5.html

Base price was $387 (+ 35 camo + 35 mag + 25 G10 + 45 SS). Also figure at least $15 for the original shipping.

I was teasing about the amount of increase. The SJ in question is/was a much harder find. However, I learned my lesson a long while back about mentioning auctions in which I'm interested, even indirectly. It's a quick way to generate interest and competition.

I agree with Guyon on the price. It's certainly worth the new price but will probably go for more, especially to someone who is looking for a particulalr handle/coating combo.

About the most I've seen for user vs mint was perhaps $50, usually around $25.

To a collector, it may make a difference, but, for someone that wants a particular model/combo, a bit of coating wear won't matter.

Don't look for any big savings just because it's a user. It's a Busse, and any use will likely be just cosmetic.

Well since your talking Busse....using is what it's made for:thumbup:

PRICELESS!!:eek::D:thumbup:

There are three big Busses in one of the ebay online stores. I find it interesting that they are priced SHe>FSH>CGFBM. Who would have thought things would be so upside down?

I can't believe how much it went up from the first time I saw till after this thread started...

With the SS slabs it is worth about what it sold for new.... maybe up to $450.00 (Oh and then it does include a sheath so add that too). If it had other slabs I wouldn't pay as much.

I would not have sold that knife on ebay. I think I'd get what it was worth here and not pay all the darn fees.:grumpy: :thumbdn:

man you guys are not making it easy for a new busse fan :grumpy: telling these people that its a good deal... :D you should of said "no bad deal" and sent me a pm and said "buy it" :D

that sheath... i frogot what the guy said it was do u guys know, and is it anygood?

Looks like a Dog Father sheath from the Yard, I used one for mine for a while, till my Oku showed up.

It works. I don't wear a knife that size on my belt:eek:, they're good for packing it in your gear, or lashing on to your bag. I have some of the older Busse nylon sheaths that I use for that purpose.

ooooo, ooooooo, i want another one! time to bid! hahahahahahahaha... just kidding! (or am i?) i think one sold @ the exchange for approx. $375. it went pretty fast. i was pondering getting it and lost out! too slow, i better work on my porkfu!
