How much does a non-perfectly centered folder matter?

I have a custom flipper I bought about three years ago. At the time, the blade was perfectly centered when closed. About a year ago I noticed that the liner-lock was pushing the blade off center a bit. Does this matter? It looks perfectly straight when I open and use it (to my eyes at least, I don't have a laser leveler or anything). I tried to tighten the pivot but it only had a minor affect before the blade became to tight to flip open.
I thought about sending it back to the maker, but I'm overseas and sending through the mail is always a chancy proposition. It doesn't really bother me, but people make such a big deal about it when selling a knife I just wanted to make sure I wasn't somehow warping/breaking something by continuing to use it in this condition.

Here's the best pick I could take, camera didn't focus well.

There are many tips on how to get it back to center. For instance, you can loosen the screws so that the scales become a little loose and carefully bend the knife in the folded position until you get the centering you want and then tighten the screws in that position.
It doesn't matter though, as long as the blade isn't touching the liners. It's just a cosmetic-perfectionist thing.

+1

With a few possible exceptions, most knives will flex away from the thumb as you deploy them (assuming you deploy with the thumb). Considering this, it almost seems like a valid argument to set the blade slightly biased (intentionally OFF-center) to counter this flex...at least that is the way I see it. Either way, it is a personal preference thing that causes problems a lot less frequently than it gets complained about;)

Thanks. I'm not the perfectionist type, so I'll just leave it alone then. If I tried to unscrew things I'd just screw it up. :)

I have never cared about a blade being off center. As long as it doesn't rub the liner its ok with me.
