How much does the HI "Hanuman Special" cost?

Hello,

I'm new to this site and just had this quick question. I didn't see a price listing anywhere and wanted to know how much the 'Hanuman Special' model costs, in $US.

It has an aesthetic appeal, almost 'cute,' if that word can even apply to Khukuris...!

Hmmm...

I'd like to get one: If someone got this one before I did, how long might it be before another became available?

Also, does anyone have a performance review vis-a-vis the other HI models? (There's probably one here somewhere, but I don't have time to dig it up just now.)

ruel, this one is still available and thanks for reminding me to place an order for more.

A Bando instructor used a Hanuman in the field for a year and said it did everything he asked it to do. He later put the Hanuman away for special use and started using a WWII for field work. I think Yvsa did some comparison testing. If he comes by I am sure he will be able to add some pertinent and valuable comments.

Hi Bill,

1. (I always thought Bando was a Burmese martial art. Is it actually Nepali?)

2. If you're planning to get more Hanumans in in the near future, I would rather wait as I am a little short on cash at the moment (and the holiday season won't help). But if you don't expect them for some time, I suppose I could scrape together the funds and get it before somebody else does...

3. I was also wondering (and this is even further down the line) if you will be offering more swords in the future, ones with the kind of engraving and scabbard mounting that appear on the nicer Khukuris.

1. Thanks. I have a 'target date' for late December/early January, but if someone gets it before then, could you e-mail me and let me know?

2. About the swords, I was referring to the Ram Dao, Tarwar, and Kora on the HI website. But since those are beyond my budget for the time being, I won't harrass you with questions about them jut yet!
