I was just wondering how much weight the Ti scale added to the knife?

How much does the scale weigh by it self?

Or what is the weight difference going from g10/CF to a Ti scale?

Thanks in advance :)

Hey Juice, here ya go:

XM-18 (3.0") - equipped with G10/Titanium liner - 3.6 oz.
XM-18 (3.0") - equipped with Hinderer Titanium Scales - ~4.1 oz.
XM-18 (3.5") - equipped with G10/Titanium liner - 5.6 oz.
XM-18 (3.5") - equipped with Hinderer Titanium Scales - ~6.4 oz.
XM-24 (4.0") - equipped with G10/Titanium liner - 7.8 oz.
XM-24 (4.0") - equipped with Hinderer Titanium Scales - ~8.7 oz.
XM-24 (4.0") - equipped with Titanium Frag Scales - ~8.9 oz.

I lifted that from the info sticky :)

Thanks bro! When in doubt the stickies are always there for us/me... It's not even an ounce... Hmm...

Ok now that I know the weight difference an ounce doesn't seem a lot to me.

Of those that carry both how do you feel the EDC difference is? Can you really tell?

In the immediate moments after the switch (A/B comparison) I would say you can notice it but after the initial comparo it is more a "feel" difference and by that I mean, it makes the tank-like XM feel....... TANK-LIKE.
If ya know what I mean ;)

No worries :) Coincidentally I happened to be browsing that exact sticky at work last night so it was in the front of my mind..

Re-perusing the stickies also made me realize all the times I asked questions that were already covered :o But, it also reminded me of the great vibe of this particular SF - I always gots tons of civil/useful answers whereas the response in many other SF would be something negative, along the lines of UTFSF or something like that..

Anyway, I've never carried a fully Ti clad XM for any significant length of time, but have mounted a couple to try them out. While not for me functionally (still not sure why exactly) they look awesome - gives an already tank of a knife an even more indestructible feel and appearance while only adding a negligible amount of weight..

Cool! Thanks again fellas :) Haha! For sure more of a TANK like feel... I gotcha.

I'm just pondering pulling the trigger on one. I have some good ol' Christmas cash burning a hole in my pocket :)

I don't think you'll regret it except maybe after you realize how much you like it ;)

Get one KJ. I have ti on all of my XMs but one. As soon as I get a chance to grab a textured ti scale for it I will. They are what the others have already said. :)

There's Jensen again! LOL! Helping me spend my money ;) I know I can always count on you guys for some help/advice :)

I would have pulled the trigger if it was textured. I love the feel/look of hinderer's texturing on their g10 and the textured CF is my favorite scale option unless the textured Ti will beat it....

Once you have one in your hand/pocket, you can tell.. Lol.

I miss my 3.5" gen 3 Ti frag.. but!! I got a smooth on the way for the wharnie. Can't wait!

Honestly I love my ti scale on my xm24, especially because its sandblasted...but sandblasted scratches pretty easily. Guys I can't wait to get this smooth sw scale...totally can't afford it but I haaad to scoop it up! Thank goodness for the emergency CC! ;)

Haha. Good choice KJ! You will love it. I was hoping my pics would push you over the edge. :)

Ok I finally pulled the trigger on the Ti stonewashed scale :)

Now the glorious wait ;)

Smart move my friend. I think my wait is over tomorrow if I don't have to play ff with usps. :( do they require a signature for hinderer ti scales shipments? Lol, hopefully postin pics tomo night! :D

Haha! Oh you know me so well Jensen!

We are all peas in this Hinderer Pod, that's for sure! :)

Cooldaddy I'm excited for some pics of it tomorrow! You're going to be having so much fun, deciding which one's to play dress up with that new sleek Ti scale.

I probably won't be getting mine til Wednesday if I'm lucky. I think Rick and Rob are playing catch up from the Holiday

I'll send you the link to my video tomorrow brother! Still debating on what to do with my cf scale. Lol.

Sweet bro! I was thinking the same thing... I think I will keep mine for awhile just in case I decide to swap around. But otherwise I might have some scales to sell!!
