How much for a Brute?

I am curious about a Becker Brute (new) that is for sale on ebay for $259. It's made by Blackjack in a Grey powdercoat w/black leather sheath. How does that price sound?
 
For a user, about $200 too much! For a collector, it's all a matter of what one is willing to pay! ;)

I wish I could give you some help on this......But, I have no idea.......I will say that there wil in all liklihood be NO more Brutes made....

I find that hard to believe that they have them in stock, since it's a school uniform company and according to the bottom of the page hasn't been updated in 2 years - not to mention the fact that Camillus went out of business a few years ago.
 
Yeah, try to order from them...:grumpy:

$259 seems a little high; I know where there's one cheaper than that :o
 
you might find some random "country store" or such that has old stock, but don't bet the bank on it.

there are in fact some [dis]reputable companies that will even say they are holding it, right now, to get your order, and then will issue you a "credit" in 6-8 weeks after they continuously lie about it... they KNOW they can't get them, and don't pull their listings.

I suspect that like me, he has one, sitting, waiting for the day he decides to sell it.
 
yeah, but his asking price for a used blade is higher than I would ask for my LNIB one.

well, MSRP was about $145...

and it IS out of production...

and it's not like SOME people don't immediately buy 20 of a limited run of knives from one of THOSE companies, and immediately flips them the next week for $50-75 over asking price, without even a sheath ;)

so, who's to say what's fair dinkum? :) not me...

that said, i'd LOVE to have a NIB box one, for uh, posterity, but i'll have to settle for my used one :}

OK Bladeite - you talked me into it - I'll up my asking price into the nosebleed section when I get the camera working and post it on the exchange. :)
