Hello All!

I was wondering if I could be a pest and ask you all a personal question:
When it comes to small knives in the pocket; how much handle do you like sticking out of the sheath?

We are making a few K5 Karda Leather sheaths for a customer of ours, and he has a definite opinion on this!
So I wondered what all of you thought!

These Pictures are a prototype pocket sheath we did.
This is where we like the handle to be in this sheath.
What about everyone else?

Thanks for your time and input!

Nice Sheath.

I like very little. Quarter inch.

I put a lanyard on the knife to help me pull it.

+1 on the clip. Much nicer than the earlier versions. I like a little more to pull on... like 3/4".

That's about right for me, or up to 1/4" more handle exposed. With an EDC I like to put a lanyard on to help grab the knife.

I agree with everything he said. The lanyard will allow you to hide the tang as much as you can. With a blade that small, you can trap it with your pinkie and grab the tang with the other fingers.

I like the mouth of the sheath to be even with the opening of the pocket, with the handle with lanyard exposed about 1". That way the knife is easy to access, and easy to replace.

I like the sheath level with my pocket opening and th knife to sit up to the last lanyard hole in the sheath. This way the lanyard is free of the sheath and it is easy to replace the knife.

Cool looking sheath by the way.

That appears to be about 1 inch sticking out ???
That, or a little less..... works for me.
