How much is a Kalinga worth?

I have pictures. I only paid $10 for this knife. I was like holy cow unreal! so, I was just wondering how well I made out. I might trade it later down the road. It has some minor scratches on the blade, and the brass could use some polishing. Also the handle has something stained on it but I couldn't get it out all the way, not to noticeable but it's there. I think it would make a great user. Any and all comments welcome! Thanks,

Quite bit more than ten, closer to seventy five. It is one very nice looking knife.
 
The Kalinga is a classic Buck knife and you made yourself a great deal. Beautiful knife that you should hold on to and use. :thumbup:
 
Couple years back, or more, a good clean up and it woulda brought over a hunnerd. Easily. Might still. I would bump the estimate.

Thats about as good a steal as I have seen here.
 
Theron,Welcome and thanks for post the pictures. It's a 70's Kalinga.More like 74-79 a great find w/440C blade and black micarta handle.DM
 
Theron you got one heck of a deal
i had one and traded it to Joe for some 110's
as stated that one has micarta in good shape
on ebay with sheath i have seen them fetch
upwards of 150
but that is a good day
most times 100 give or take some
75 would be a bad day,,,
but sellers have to be ready for bad days
buyers like your self enjoy a good day for buyers..
i dont think i have seen any kinanga displays
some there but not a collection of them
could be you are on to a new wave?
 
I had a feeling it was worth about $30 or $40.. plus when I bought it it I knew it was used, all dirty and in kinda rough shape. But for $10 I'm not complanin ;)

I have done some deals that might net a 50 to 75 profit for a single knife, should I resell. But nothing close to this deal. :thumbup::thumbup:

Even at $30 or $40 it would've been a GREAT deal...at least in my opinion.
I wish I had a micarta Kalinga :(

Hummmm,,, I got one of martis kalingas buried down in the bottom drawer, But I donno about Gooses hugs...:eek::D
