I was just curious to know what the value of this particular knife is? I was told there were less than 100 produced. Thanks.

That's a cool knife, looks like some sort of L.E. version of the Echo with a Sheepsfoot style blade. I think the regular Echo goes for $300, so this one is probably worth more than that. It would be interesting to know what type of steel they used for it.

the steel type is not printed on the blade, but I was told it was s3v. dimensions are approx the same as the echo. the differences are the blade geometry, sheath, and edge grind. it has a chisel ground edge, and some of the false edge on the top front is actually sharpened.

actually, im not 100% but i beleive those were the first knives surefire ever produced. Before the echo, delta and idk what other models there are right now...

but when surefire started making blades, it was those, and that was the only one they had. It wasnt until later that they had multiple models and discontinued this particular one.

Once again im not 100% certain but i remember seeing that a long time ago

I know this knife is quite old. I first saw it in a local sporting goods store, maybe, four or five years ago. I thought it was a really neat knife, but I didn't want to pay what they were asking for it. The next time I went back to the store it was gone.

I was in the same store last year, I think, and there it was. I haggled a bit with the guy behind the counter and ended up getting it for less than half of what they originally wanted.

The guy at the counter told me that surefire made a small run of these knives for the Boeing Corp. I also saw some for sale on tadgear.com, and they were calling it the Boeing knife. They were all sold out, so I couldn't see what they were asking for them.

I read somewhere that Steve Ryan designs the knives for surefire, and I'm wondering, since this was an early limited production, if Steve may have ground this blade himself?
