how much is this worth

Ahhh, a FHM (Filipino Hand-Made) balisong, horn inserts, brass bolsters. The sheath also says "Balisong" in blue. I'm not one to set a value so I'll let our FHM experts handle this one; JohnR7, Chuck, and a few others.

Does the blade have any rust spots?

Did it happen to come in a wooden box that had the same "Balisong" on it that the sheath has?

>>I think I bought it in 1979 to 1982 area any idea of its worth.

If you can find someone dependable that lives in the Philippines to sell you one. You maybe able to buy one as cheap as $40 or $50. But there are a lot of problems involved in buying them that way, not the least of which, customs may confiscate it.

I usually get about $50 or $60 for them, straight out of Batangas, depending on the condition it's in. If you have someone like Sabo, buff it out with his 4 step custom finish process, then the price they actually sell for, would be in the $80 to $120 range.

The 5" Horn, and the 3" Bone are the best selling most popular Balisongs out of Batangas. They make a lot of different styles and they all sell good though. www.BalisongKnife.com Thanks, JohnR7

If you have the original box, this balisong ought to be worth about $100-$125. There was one on eBay recently, but it got pulled.
