How many knives do all you fellow "knife fanatics" carry. I normally have 2 to 4 knives plus a brand new SOG EOD Powerlock on me daily. Whenever I decide to leave one at home, I end up needing it during the course of a workday. My EDC is a SOG Trident, SAK Ranger, Cheapo Husky Utility knife, Case Pen Knife, and formerly a Craftsman Multitool (now the SOG). I'm going to need the batman utility belt soon to make things easier! Anyway, what's everyone carrying on a daily basis?

1 heavy user soon to be an XM-18, and 1 sheeple friendly slipjoint, a carbon bladed boker barlow!

I'll carry four, generally:
- BM Snody 210TK is ALWAYS around my neck......always;
- Schrade Old Timer slipjoint is always in my left pocket;
- a fixed blade (rotated, usually BRKT) is almost everyday on my right hip, and;
- A SOG S62 is sometimes on the belt at my right kidney

I always have a Case slip joint, Kershaw Blackout, SAK Explorer and a Sanley shirt pocket snap off tip knife.

THREE, left pocket for everyday uses, right pocket..strictly SD (never used for anything else..hopefully never will), and I carry Leatherman which has a blade, (so I'll consider it a knife), for everything else.

1 EDC - small plain Sebenza. At work, I add a Spyderco D4 as a warehouse knife. Hiking / camping adds a larger folder to the Sebbie, usually a mini-Manix or Ritter Grip. Two is my limit for carry.

I usually have 84 other knives with me, but I'm not carrying them.

My opinion of the number of knives to carry is similar to an opinion of ammo I read:

"You can't have too much ammo unless you're trying to swim."

Seems like a lot of you carry about the same or close, number wise. Doing painting and pressure washing, I use each knife for different tasks. Usually the SOG is for hacking brush away from a house before painting and some drywall work, the SAK is for cutting old caulking and drop cloth paper, the Husky is for extremely abusive hacking, and the SOG powerlock is for everything else when my drill battery dies (which is often!).

Two, always two. One is a large single bladed clipped knife in my right front pocket all by itself, and the second is a small knife in my left front pocket with my change and whatever else may be in there. I usually carry a Case slipjoint in the left pocket, but today I have a Protech Runt 2 in there. My right front is occupied today with a large Classic Sebenza w/snakewood inserts. Btw, the Sebenza is the smallest knife I carry in my right pocket as it is often times a 4.0" or greater blade length to be found there.:thumbup:

Two or three. Usually a small CA legal auto used as a money clip, a slipjoint trapper or a stag handled folding hunter and a SAK one hander.

At least 2. Hard use and sheeple friendly. And a mulitool.

Today is a Busse fixed, Henckels Barlow and a Gerber Recoil.

Then like a bunch more in my bag in case I want switch it up.

Most days one folder and which one depends on what I'm doing: walking in town, the park, riding somewhere, dress up. It's fun to switch and match to the activity. If I'm woodswalking/camping I always have a folder and a fixed. And the trunk of the car always has a large fixed and a hand ax.

Two...one that I like using and one as a beater/loaner. And I've recently begun carring a multitool, but three's pushing it.

I carry three.
Leatherman micra for the screwdrivers that have square corners.
Vic Classic for the little screwdriver blade that I use for prying and for the toothpick.
EDC of choice for cutting.

I also carry a Maglight solitaire.

The other day, just for kicks, I decided to see how many I could carry without being too cumbersome. I carried 7 knives.

Mini-Rukus - Right front pocket
Delica 4 - Right watch pocket
551 Grip - Right rear pocket
JYD II - Left front pocket
710D2 - Left rear pocket
Chinook III - Right inside jacket pocket
Paramilitary - Left inside jacket pocket

Those knives get really heavy...

I'll usually carry one folder, occasionally 2 though. I rotate my EDC through 10 knives, the 7 above including:

Endura 4
Boker Trance
Byrd Cara Cara

The notion of carrying the same knives every day is as strange as wearing the same tie and shirt daily.

My carry collection:

1. CRKT M16-14SF
2. Cold Steel Voyager 5-inch plain
3. Voyager 4-inch serrated
4. Cold Steel Gunsite 5-inch
5. S&W Hawkbill Extreme Ops, plain
6. Fenix pocket framelock
7. Remington pocket hawkbill w/ LED
8. Byrd Cara Cara plain w/G10 handles

Numbers 5 and 7 are always with me; the rest get rotated. l just bought the Remington from SMKW in a combo pack for $6.99. Everyone who sees it wants one. Doesn't scare the sheeple, either.

Case med. stockman always plus a leatherman supertool 200 at work, then after work I trade the Leatherman for a Buck Alpha Dorado in 154 ATS-34.

Trust me, you don't really want to know. It's not unusual for me to have a dozen knives on me at any one time.

I know I have too many when the suspenders can't hold my belt up ;)
