How much is too much for Paracord?

I live in an area where Army/Navy stores are few and far between, so I've been clicking around the web looking for paracord at a good price. It seems that most sites average around 5 to 7 dollars for a 100 foot hank, and 12 to 14 dollars for a 300 foot spool. Is this the going rate for paracord? Or should I feel ripped off if I pay that much?

Thats about right. If you go to a place that sells it by the 1000' length and work out the price as a 100' hank then you are only paying about $1-2 more for the convenience of someone chopping it up and packaging it.

I would say get a 1000' roll from cheaperthandirt or some place like that and be done with it for years, besides it amazing how fast you get through this stuff when you put your mind to it. :D

Yeah thats average, I just bought some at a sporting goods store and it was $3 per 50feet. I agree with Temper, if you plan to use it alot get a spool you wont regret it.

Definitely good advice. Cheaperthandirt.com has really good quality USA made paracord at the right price, and they're a reliable dealer.

Thanks. I never thought of it that way. A whole 1000, spool. I used to get the Cheaper than dirt catalog every month. I remember they had them. I'll check their web site.
