How much longer will the TGLB be available?

Does anyone have any idea how much longer this will be in the shop?

Sorry if this is a boring thread -- I would have rung the good Busse people, but I'm in the UK so that didnt seem like a sensible option.

Basically I won't have any cash until I sell my Gretsch guitar, but I don't want the TG to dissapear from the shop before I get round to putting the guitar on EBay. Plus you get more bank for your buck buying directly without the aftermarket prices. Also, I particularly want to get my hands on the stunning pumpkin/tanker combo!

I love the TGLB -- some people have said that it won't be a 'classic', but I just think its a fantastic looking blade!

No one really knows, maybe not even Jerry, but you can order one and put off payment for quite a while without getting on their nerves :p that's what I'm doing.

Out of curiosity, what Gretsch?

Ps. I know it's been said before, but this is crazy bug I've been infected with. A month ago I bought a Boss Jack whih I thought would be the knife to end all knives for me. Quite the opposite.

Its a very dangerous addiction, especially when you consider that I'm just graduating, with a load of debt, no job, and a summer likely full of thankless, ill-paid internships!

And I'm supposed to be an economist lol!!

Great, how does that pre-ordering business work?

It's not one of the most expensive Gretschs -- it's an electromatic 5120 hollowbody. Sounds beautiful, and the range of sounds it can create is amazing. It's better than the Gibson LP I had before it...

[anyway, sorry for digressing away from Busses!! please don't excommunicate me!]

It's not quite preordering. It's just the way Busse places orders. You order it, they make it, then you pay when it's to be delivered. You should make it clear that you're putting off immediate payment, though, just to make sure.

I'm just curious :) I've wanted a Gretsch for a while, but I'm looking for a Stratocaster these days.

Add in a "wa-wa" petal and you are good to go ! Its a classic :):thumbup:

Gary: Thanks for your help, very useful, I will fire off an email tomorrow to the shop to see what they recommend. Strats are versatile, a design classic, and depending on what model you get, pretty good value. I would wholeheartedly recommend a Gretsch though. I got one because its a bit different. A lot of my friends have Strats/Teles.. I'm only selling it because the INFIection is so bad (apologies for the awful pun)

Mr FTR14C: That is an absolute BEAUT! Thanks for the encouragement -- although I don't think my wallet will be grateful... I have to say that that's genuinely one of my favourite Busse knife/handle/blade combinations, which is lucky since its not often that theyre actually selling your favourite model!

I kind of went the opposite way. Or er I went full circle. Music -> bunch of other stuff in life, mid-recession post-graduation crisis, etc. :o -> INFI -> music.
I used to want a 1962 Duo Jet but am thinking a Strat would better fit more preferred look and sound.

Of course, after all this INFI, I don't really have the funds either... :p
