How much Sebenza in the Wild?

I am wondering how many of these knives have been made in total.

10 000 ? 30 000 ? 50 000 ?

I would think it's rather the first than the last, but that's only guessing.
What do you imagine? Or what is it, if you have any information?
 
Very good question. It only crossed my mind a few days ago, and I actually thought about posting too...! ;)

I have no idea how many there have been made, yet I`d think its more than 10k.

I think I`ve once heard that CRK is putting out 5.000 knives a year. If only half of them are Sebenzas, thats 2.500 a year. And they have been making Sebenzas for around 15 years now. Granted, CRK probably hasn`t put out high numbers in the first couple of years, yet I`m sure theres a nice number of them out there now.

In fact, having seen the CRK DVD`s, I wonder if they don`t put out more than 5.000 knives/year.

Too bad that theres no serial numbering... .:(
 
I would think they make more then 5,000 a year. If you figure 260 working days a year then that is less then 20 knives per day. That doesn't sound like very many to me.
