How much should I ask?

My buddy wants to buy my Cold Steel Carbon V Peacekeeper (The small one) to tide him over as he waits for his SOG Pentagon to arrive. The Peace Keeper is in perfect condition. It baffles me that CS would discontinue this as it is so much superior to their 420 models.
So How much should I ask? I looked online but could not find any to price check. I'm not really looking to make a profit, I just want to make a fair deal.
Suggestions?
 
They probably wanted to get more profit by using crappy materials, so they switched to 420.

I dont know how much it is worth, but if is your buddy, why not just sell it to him for the price of a new 420 model?
 
Just as a reference, I was looking for a Peacekeeper I in carbon v.

I lost an ebay bid on one it sold for 53.00 plus shipping. I eventually found one and got it for 50.00 including shipping, basically brand new.

The only bad thing is I got it for my BIL for X-Mas, but I like it so much I want to keep it and my wife won't let me :mad:

Don't know whether a II would be much different.
 
I suppose it depends on how good of a buddy he is to you and how much the knife is worth to you.

Of course Christmas is coming....

If he is really your buddy give it to him. You will never be sorry and will someday be paid back.
 
He's not really my buddy. Friend of my brother. We talk sometimes. Close enough that I wouldn't mind eating after him.
