How much should I pay?

Hello everyone,

I am having some difficulty trying to come up with a fair offer for some knives I want to purchase from a friend who knows more about knives than I presently do.

Spyderco Starmate (Plain Edged)
Spyderco Manix (Combo Edged) the original one I guess

They are both NIB

What would be a fair offer for these? I don't want to embarrass myself. Any advice at all would be very helpful.

CE manix may be rare but not as rare as the Plain Edge model... so no more than 250 for that one. starmate i have no clue

The last PE starmate sold for 350 on eBay.

I'd say somewhere in the $400 to $425 range for the pair would be fair, assuming the Manix is a C95. While the PE version has a strong following and commands a good price there's a lot less interest in, and demand for, the CE version and even less for the CE version of the original C101.

The Starmate from what I understand is one of the most sought after Spyderco knives to date. I would agree that $350-$400 for the Starmate would be the going price. They are only going to get rarer.
