How much steel do you carry?

I was thinking about how heavy my pants are when all my gear is in them. I decided to weigh the same four knives I carry every single day. (Man of habit, I never switch up my EDC knives unless I get a new one). Came to 1 lb 8.25 oz. That's a considerable amount. Especially when considering that I carry a mid size gun, a phone, wallet, large keychain, Leatherman Wingman, extra mag, flashlight, nail clippers, ChapStick, and a Zippo. Whew...

S&W M13 4" K frame on right hip. Sort of offsets the small peanut in my left pocket and Victorinox Farmer on my opposite hip.

It adds up fast that's for sure. Ever have to sprint with all that gear? Usually have to end up doing the "hey I have a gun" run so it's not flailing up and down all crazy. I am looking into getting a small light single stack 9mm for carry. Right now it's a glock 19 which is practically the same as a full size hand gun. The weight with everything is substantial, gun + 2 loaded mags (one in gun) + 2 knives + multi tool + keys and mini tools on key chain etc, definitely can get up there. I only carry 2 folders at most, one big and one small. On top of that though I still have blades on my SAK and multi tool if I carried one.

I have sprinted with all my gear before. Besides the weight, it wasn't too bad. You might check out Foxx holsters if you are into hybrid holsters. It holds my near two pound gun solid when I run.

I have a galco King tuk which is a hybrid. For me the issue isn't the holster it's my shorts, they will be what ends up moving up and down. Probably cause I'm on the thin side body type wise. With pants it's not an issue. My holster holds the gun pretty secure though, I love the holster actually it's great

Opinel currently so less than 2 ounces. A car key, exotac flint striker and wallet round out the rest of what's in my pockets. A phone and a light are usually somewhere close. I prefer to go light these days.

This is what I carry:

...Along with a Deluxe Tinker Swiss Army knife.

The only steel, or if I may expand...metal items I carry are knife, keys, & flashlight. Wallet & phone too, but not steel or metal. I prefer being a minimalist when it comes to things I actually carry on me. The laws concerning concealed carry in Chicago are very confusing & convoluted.

Sig P320 Carry, LM Surge, Vic Farmer, Case Trapper, keys, & light. Damn that's a lot. I'm looking for a good modern folder to add to it but nothing's really caught my eye.
