How much work do you leave for after heat treat?

I'm working on a folder with ATS34. I've got the blade and locking bar pretty much done. I need to do a little more work on the finish of the blade still but nothing else. My grinds aren't the best, but I think it will survive heat treat. So the question is, should I go ahead and make all the peices for the handle now, or should I do that after heat treat?

Fix it right the first time, use Baling Wire !

I'd wait for after heat treat. When you do the finish grinding and polish on a blade, you always remove more than you expect, and you don't have much room for correction in folders.

Waiting until after heat treat gets my vote. My reasoning is that dimensions will change somewhat with final finish and polish of the blade itself. If you are working with close tolerances, this makes quite a bit of difference unless you have done this before and basically know what will be taken off.
