How much would you pay for a Ka-Bar next gen.

I am not selling this knife, I just want to know how much to pay for one. I found a NIB Ka-Bar next gen. PE with leather sheath for $42 at a flea market, nead I want to know if it is worth it? I would rather have a traditional Ka-Bar but that is all they had. Are the Next Gen. Ka-Bars better than the orig.? Please respond soon as it was the only one they had left, and the sale ends tom.
 
A Next Generation Kabar seems to run around $60 on the internet. Being a Stainless steel 440a or 12c27m it will be resist corrosion better than the 1095 used on the standard Ka-bar. From what I have read on the Forums it may not hold an edge quite as long. I am far from an expert, but if I found a Next Generation for $42 I would buy it (especially if it is the Sandvik 12C27M steel).

OK! I think a NIB next gen.KA-BAR is worth 42 bucks,buy it if YOU like it.I have the old traditional KA-BAR w/1095 steel blade and I like it a lot.I paid a little more than 42 bucks for it. I would buy the next gen.KA-BAR for 42 bucks,if I ended up not liking it I would just sell it, I've never held a next gen. KA-BAR but I think KA-BAR's have a decent reputation, hell my grandfather used one in ww2 and he loved it! You cant go to wrong for 42 bucks.I would say go for it! then let us know what you think of it. good luck!
