How my EDC has evolved

Seeing as how I used to do a ton of posts a day and now I mostly browse/read, I decided I'd do some posting today. My edc has evolved a lot over the years. My first knife I EDC'd (not owned) was a victorinox minichamp (the older one, without the phillips, i got it about 12 years ago). Carried that for a number of years until i got my next EDC. It was a benchmade ascent in 154cm (my first quality knife). Carried that a few years and then fell into i believe my buck tool. That was my first pliers based multi tool. My dad bought me that. I used it until it flopped around. Then my grandfather bought me a CRKT m16-03 (pre lawks) with aluminum scales. I then remember really educating myself on knives. I was a knife fanatic, but in a different sense than i am now. I then aquired a spyderco sharpmaker, a few tools to disassemble and service knives and a more general knowhow of knives and brands. I think my longest EDC was a toss up between my m16 and my ascent. Then over the years i carried a victorinox super tinker and a few odd knives. Up until recently i had become such a knife fanatic that i had a hard time finding or choosing knives i liked. I would buy knives on the hope that it would be used and carried, but i found myself carrying randomly and using less often. I'd say that was my main EDC. I owned a ton of knives, but i don't consider them EDC if they aren't carried almost every day! Oh, and a schrade simon somewhere in that mix. So years went by and i wasn't really carrying like i used to, but was still buying. I got a benchmade griptilian in a partially serrated edge due to the uproar of people on here praising it. The local shop didn't offer a plain edge and i hadn't really bought knives offline at that point. I think that may have been my next edc, but i wasn't crazy about the P.S. edge. My swisstool came with me when i went fishing, so i guess that was an edc. I had also been interested in flashlight, but not like i have been in the past few years. So in the last few years i've EDC'd a Swisschamp, Swisstool and Camper from victorinox. A spyderco caly3 in zdp189 and a timberline kelly worden large tactical. Up until recently, these knives were carried on a weekly, not daily basis. This christmas came around and i got my ultimate EDC, that had i got years ago, would be plenty worn in by now. I got a leatherman surge with a bit adapter and bit kit, a spyderco military plain edge, and a streamlight microstream. For my birthday a few months after christmas my girlfriend bought me a spyderco salt 1 which i throw into the mix when i need it, it's my only fully serrated knife. So there's how my EDC has progressed and where it is now. I see my current EDC being my EDC for the next few years at least, this is the longest i've stuck with a specific edc, and not being in school has made it easier to get back to carrying daily. Oh, and now i also carry an iphone in an otterbox defender case, which has also had a positive impact on my daily life! :-)

Oh, and i forgot to add a nice little knife that has gotten me out of a bunch of jams, my boker plus. It sits on my keychain. Another used, but not carried every single day is my custom knife by jk handmade knives. It's mainly my woods carry knife, which i guess is in my EDC kind of.
