One more thing not to do:
I was cutting the heavy shrink-wrap plastic off a vitamin bottle last night. No big deal, but rather than just slit the plastic at the top of the cap, I cut towards the neck of the bottle -- just popped the edge through the plastic wrap. Didn't really think about what I was doing until I heard the clink of metal against glass. Not plastic, glass!
DOH! And of course, I was using my Apogee instead of the Kershaw Scallion that was sitting in my pocket. 420HC might have rolled, but the S90V chipped. Not badly -- about 1/4" long and very shallow, but still, not a pretty sight.
Needless to say, a session on the Sharpmaker was required before I could even consider going to bed.
