how often do you clean and lube?

Just wondering how often most people tear down their sebenza and clean and lube

I will be tented to say it depends the use, i clean my EDC when i feel that the opening and closing mecanism is more hard and the action less smooth.
I use also one for opening mails at home, i never cleaned and lubed it

When I clean and lube, I polish the washers and I lube with a lithium grease (only the pivot, not the whole blade ! ) that can last a long time.... Maybe once a month...

I usually do it because I carry most of the time the knife in my pocket, without clip, and it gets dirty easier that way.

I take a pheasant hunting trip every fall and use my large sebe to clean all the birds during the week. I tear it down, clean, and lube it after the trip along with the touch up on my sharpmaker. For the sebes that I use occationally, I tear down and lube about one a year.

Twice a year. Three at most.

I mostly cut cardboard though. Nothing that would really 'gunk' up the mechanism.
