How often do you lube your blade?

I clean and lube the pivot perhaps 2-3 times a year. Probably when they feel or look as if they are getting gunked up. I coat the blades of my dive knives with silicon grease as soon as I use them to prevent rusting in salt water.

Rarely. After a week or so of use, I'll flush the pivot with some hot water and blast it dry with compressed air.

I typically only use a lubricant if I've taken then knife apart for a good cleaning. And then it's only a tiny bit of lube.

For knives with stainless blades? Hardly ever.

For non-stainless blades? When there is no longer a very thin film of oil on the blade. Never dripping, just a very fine film. Frequency of application is dependent upon frequency of use.
